Maddalena Addolorata is a work made in 1605-1606 with the "oil on canvas" technique by the great Michelangelo Merisi, better known as Caravaggio. Part of a private collection appeared to the public in the exhibition curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, "I Tesori nascosti," in the church of Santa Maria Maggiore
at Pietrasanta, Italy. The work is now on show at the Museum of Art in Osaka, Japan. The title of the exhibition is "La Verità nell'arte," exhibited from December 26 to February 16. The Work was also in a gallery exhibition in Sicily, Italy, until the end of October 2022, and from October to January 2023 in a gallery exhibition called Dramma e Passione, Caravaggio e Artemisia Gentileschi in Terni-Narni, Italy
